Please accept my heartfelt thanks and gratitude for your prompt and positive response to my request to join the Third Front launch and deputing your great party’s senior leader Sh Satish Sharma to attend the massive rally at Dobbespet on March 12, 2009.

Your party’s presence at the formal launch of the Front conveyed the message to one and all that the Third Front was not just a regional phenomenon and that the country’s largest state, Uttar Pradesh itself, has taken the lead to provide a non-Congress, non-BJP alternative to the people of India.

As a vibrant voice of the Dalit community, the presence of the Bahujan Samaj Party alongside our Communist friends and other regional allies has left no room for doubt that the Third Front represents the poor, downtrodden, underprivileged masses of India including Dalits, OBCs, women, minorities, farmers, workers and other weaker sections of the society as against the forces representing fascist, communal, feudal and capitalist forces.

Sh Mishra had rightly pointed out that the Third Front was the only alternative for the people and that its advent would herald the growing irrelevance of the so-called national parties in a federal structure such as ours.

While reiterating my gratitude to your good self for your support to the cause for a people’s alternative, I look forward to your continued cooperation and guidance in the days to come.
